La Ventana

Vacation rentals in La Ventana and El Sargento, Mexico, where guests come for the wind and stay six nights

If you manage homes in La Ventana or El Sargento, AirROI counts 169 Airbnb listings with an average stay of six nights, booked 56 days ahead, at an average rate of 3,527 pesos. 40% of reviewers live in the United States and 9% in Canada. They come for the north thermal wind, 15 to 30 knots, which blows from November to March according to Gringo Gazette. Upbridge's AI operations assistant, Cleo, works over WhatsApp with vacation rental operators and cleaning companies and organizes the cleanings and the inventory for each place.

The rules here

La Ventana and El Sargento belong to the municipality of La Paz, and we found no municipal regulation for nightly rentals. This is what we found as of October 24, 2026.

From April 11 to 18, 2026, the La Paz water utility, OOMSAPAS, regularized 59 water connections in El Sargento through its "Toma Chocolate" program. Its director, Abimael Ibarra Abúndez, said the utility needs order in its connections. If a house you manage has a connection without a contract, that program is the way to regularize it.

This is not legal or tax advice, and Upbridge does not file anything for you: no registrations and no tax returns.

How it works on the ground

The wind sets the calendar. Gringo Gazette puts the season from November to March and GoLaPaz stretches it from October to April. In AirROI's data, April brings the most revenue and September the least, with 33.1% occupancy over the year.

Stays are long, six nights on average. 76% of listings are entire homes, and 74% charge a cleaning fee, with a median of 613 pesos. If the guest came to kite, they'll appreciate a place to rinse and dry the gear.

With 56 days between booking and arrival, a December stay is usually booked in October. In 2025 hotel occupancy in Baja California Sur topped 70% and La Paz came in around 66%, according to the state tourism department as cited by Gringo Gazette.

Where Upbridge fits

Almost two guests in three live outside Mexico, so the guest guide comes in English and Spanish, with how to get there from La Paz, where to rinse the gear, how to get in and what to do if the water or power goes out. We build it and the guest opens it on their phone before the drive.

With week-long stays, the photo checklist can include the outdoor shower, the rooftop tank level and the sand on floors and beds, and the cleaner sends a photo of each step.

Each checkout from Guesty, Hostaway, Lodgify, Uplisting or your iCal becomes an assigned cleaning, and the inventory for each property warns you when towels or soap run low before the next group arrives.

If you manage homes or clean in La Ventana, El Sargento or Los Planes, Upbridge helps with what happens between one booking and the next.

If you run a cleaning company in La Ventana

In La Ventana the work bunches into the windy months and nearly disappears in September. The cleaning company account puts every client's checkouts in one calendar, from each one's iCal or PMS, and since guests book almost two months out, in October you already know how many people you'll need for December. Your clients stay yours, and we don't charge a percentage per cleaning.
